Operations Analyst

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support clients in a variety of project initiatives, working under the direction of Senior Consultant or other upper level consulting resource.  Consultant roles and responsibilities: 

Process/Operations

  • Researching and understanding background of client business and organization including ability to identify opportunities for  improvement
  • Reviewing and documenting “as is” processes
  • Assist other team members in documenting “to be” processes
  • Identify ideas and options for “to be” processes
  • Define effective formats to document business processes and complete key business process documents

Analysis

  • Increased aptitude to collect and analyze data (documents, examples, user issues, etc.) for client projects and suggest key conclusions based on the data
  • Develop well organized deliverables with limited direction

Applications

  • Increased understanding and ability to provide support for business applications used at client engagements including ability to solve issues with minimal guidance from other team members

Training

  • Lead definition and development of training materials
  • Conduct training sessions in select topic areas with minimal support from other team members

Client Relations

  • Ability to gain confidence of client personnel

Communication

  • Create clear written documentation including the ability to frame and define the document structure and deliverable format
  • Demonstrate skills and aptitude in meeting planning and organization – planning agenda and taking a leadership role in conducting meetings both within the organization and with client personnel

Core Functions

  • Following guidelines on projects as established by other team members who are leading the project effort
  • Monitor individual schedule, work priorities and tasks
  • Perform basic project planning activities under direction of senior team members
  • Plan and organize individual projects and responsibilities
  • Track and record time spent on client projects
  • Work effectively with other team members

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • Minimum of 2 years’ prior experience in the healthcare industry
  • Minimum of 1 year prior consulting experience
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office tools including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook

Preferred Skills

Additional skills preferred include:

  • Knowledge of MS Visio, SharePoint and MS Project
  •  Experience with eClinicalWorks
  • Experience with Centricity Practice Solution
