SENIOR APPLICATIONS ANALYST

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Applications Analyst supports clients in a variety of project initiatives, working under the direction of the Senior Manager of Applications.

CORE FUNCTIONS

  • Rapid ability to understand background of client business and organization including identification of opportunities for improvement and defining options for applying improvement opportunities

  • Oversee other team members in the documentation of business processes and development of suggested process improvements

  • Solid understanding of business process analysis (as is analysis, to be analysis and development of new and improved operations)

  • Establish project guidelines and structure to effectively lead other team members in their work efforts

  • Utilize data analysis produced by self or other team members to develop conclusions and recommendations to support the clients business and improvement in areas of operation and process

  • Support other team members in framing and developing deliverables providing direction and feedback to ensure quality of end products

  • Provide high quality final work products that require minimal review by senior team members

  • Demonstrated depth and expertise of key business applications used by clients including ability to trouble shoot issues and more complex problems. Rarely requires support from other team members in addressing application issues, able to trouble shoot and solve issues independently.

  • Develop training curriculum and master training plans

  • Conduct training sessions in a wide variety of areas

  • Ability to gain confidence of client personnel including increasing level of responsibility for serving as primary liaison with key client personnel

  • Establish standards for producing client deliverables that are well organized, high quality and impactful for delivering key messages

  • Develop key client deliverables with limited input from senior team members. Able to produce “final” deliverables that are client ready and require minimal review and adjustment from senior team members

  • Demonstrate skills and aptitude in meeting planning and organization – planning agenda and taking a leadership role in conducting meetings both within the organization and with client personnel

  • Monitor individual schedule, work priorities and tasks

  • Plan and organize individual projects and responsibilities

  • Leads small team of other staff or client personnel in carrying out project efforts

  • Provides supervision and oversight to team members working on a specific client or project

  • Support supervised team members in organizing, prioritizing and planning schedules and tasks

  • Able to develop project plans with limited support including ability to define scope and objectives of project and compelling business reasons for project effort

  • Track and record time spent on client projects

  • Monitor and review time spent by other staff

  • Work effectively with other team members

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required

  • Minimum of 2 years’ prior experience in the healthcare industry

  • Minimum of 3 years’ prior consulting experience

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office tools including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Knowledge of MS Visio, SharePoint and MS Project

  • Strong knowledge of Practice Management/EMR systems
