Human Resources SPECIALIST

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Human Resources Specialist is an entry level position that reports to the Human Resources Manager. This position will ensure that all applicants, candidates and new team members have successfully completed the pre-employment onboarding process through our HR Management System. The Specialist is also responsible for timely and accurate Inter-Company Associate changes, transfers and assisting with any other Associate relations requests in the HR Management System. The Human Resources Specialist is the first point of contact with our potential Associates and is expected to be an enthusiastic advocate for the Company; learn and understand quickly the Company’s vision, mission and core values to speak the common language and apply this knowledge in daily activities. This position entails maintaining a professional and highly confidential rapport with all levels of staff members and leadership.

CORE FUNCTIONS

  • Entrusted with maintaining sensitive employee data and information relating to employee and management issues

  • Follow Company processes with position management to recruit and on-board new hires through HRMS platform using applicant tracking system (ATS)

  • Attention to detail in HR due diligence with background checks, drug screens, employment eligibility and compliance

  • Professional candidate interaction through entire process of recruiting, interviewing and on-boarding

  • Assist in updating, changing and maintaining employee files and records in company’s HRMS

  • Understanding the company’s policies, procedures, and benefit plans

  • Tracking and monitoring various programs/events

  • Assist in talent recruiting

  • Involved in company event planning

  • Follow Company off-boarding process

  • Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks

  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal, on an individual or group setting

  • Must be a motivated self-starter able to work effectively with all departments with limited supervision

  • Must be punctual, with good time-management skills

  • Complete special projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School, Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience

  • Experience in a Human Resources environment

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite

  • Human Resources Management System (HRMS)
