Company driver

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Company Driver shall be an experienced over-sized vehicle driver that provides secure and timely driving services to transport passengers and/or goods. The hours of operation must be flexible to follow weekly schedule. They must manage vehicle(s) service and maintenance schedule to provide a safe and dependable driving experience, be proactive in identifying and reconciling any safety concerns with the vehicle or passengers, and perform administrative duties as needed.

CORE FUNCTIONS

  • To provide secure and timely driving services to transport passengers and/or goods

  • Assist passengers with loading and unloading luggage or packages

  • Manage passenger planning and scheduling

  • Manage driver planning and scheduling

  • Facilitate airport pick ups for visitors and transportation during visits

  • Schedule annual vehicle inspection and apply for the renewal for the vehicle license

  • Determine when and what kind of maintenance the vehicle needs, keep track of general maintenance schedules, especially car tire condition

  • Ensure sound running of the vehicles assigned and arrange minor repairs where necessary

  • Check oil and tires properly and keep the service vehicles in clean condition, both inside and outside

  • Keep track of timely car insurance renewals

  • Update monthly mileage records

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

  • Maintain a current and complete service record of each vehicle

  • Participate in driver training programs

  • Will adhere to the StratiFi Health Fleet Safety Program

  • Assist in administrative task as requested such as reception desk fill-in, assist with meeting room arrangements and events, catering pick-up and delivery, handyman and repairs, etc

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be a non-smoker

  • Must be 25 years or older

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Have a current and valid Texas Driver’s License

  • Favorable Motor Vehicle Report: no more than 2 at-fault accidents or 2 moving violations

  • Will not operate a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drug.

  • Ability to safely drive vehicles

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors, and the general public

  • Ability to communicate effectively

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to perform heavy (up to 50 lbs) manual tasks under varying weather conditions

  • Ability to make independent judgments which have moderate impacts on the organization

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Over-sized vehicle driving experience
