Lance Spivey currently serves as President of StratiFi Health, a physician services company with a purpose of helping independent physicians and the communities they serve thrive. StratiFi Health has a broad service offering for physician practices that includes: Strategy, Mergers and Acquisitions, CFO Services, Information Technology strategy and support, EHR and Practice Management System selection, implementation and support, Revenue Cycle Services and overall practice transformation for success in value based contracting environments. Recently, StratiFi Health launched Catalyst Health Network, a clinically integrated network of independent physicians who provide coordinated, high quality patient care using a value based contract structure. StratiFi Health serves to provide the management services for the network.
Spivey’s background as an executive with over 20 years of experience in strategic, operational and financial management in healthcare companies has uniquely prepared him for his role as President of StratiFi Health. His leadership in the healthcare industry encompasses roles in operations, finance and accounting, including five years as Vice President of Operations for the employed physician company of a large Integrated Delivery System in Dallas, Texas, where he oversaw business and practice management activities for several hundred multi-specialty physicians. During his tenure, the company grew from 35 physicians to over 450 physicians. Most recently, Spivey was the owner and managing partner of StratiFi Partners, a healthcare consulting and CFO services firm providing strategic, operational and financial consulting services to outpatient healthcare businesses (primarily independent physician–related). As a result of his broad healthcare experience encompassing the strategic, operational and financial aspects of the business, Spivey possesses a thorough understanding of the unique needs of physician offices and healthcare companies. This insight enables him to be a high-impact executive, able to innovate and deliver strategic and practical solutions for physicians in today’s dynamic healthcare environment.
Spivey has specialized experience in physician network creation, physician/hospital integration strategies, healthcare joint ventures, strategic financial modeling and analysis, physician practice governance and leadership, physician compensation, ambulatory surgery center financial management, physician-owned hospital financial management, and public speaking.
He began his career with Arthur Andersen LLP, working in the Audit and Business Advisory practice with healthcare clients. Spivey holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Baylor University and a Master of Business Administration (with an emphasis in Healthcare Administration) from the University of Colorado, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
